RAPTILL

RAPTILL: a ressource dedicated to forward and reverse genetics in rapeseed

An EMS-mutagenized population of up to 8.500 rapeseed lines (Tanto cv.) has been generated at IGEPP. The conditions for mutation detection have been established for rapeseed. As a proof of concept of TILLING in a polyploid species, we tilled for genes involved in dwarfism or in flavonoid metabolism. The molecular detection of the mutations is performed by AELRED , a green biotech company located at Evry, France. The collection can also be screened for mutant identification by forward genetics. Please contact Dr. nathalie.nesi@inrae.fr  to recover seeds from mutants.

Seeds from Tanto were treated with EMS. The derived M1 plants were grown in greenhouse to set seeds that were collected to constitute the RAPTILL mutagenized population
